摘要

Creglingen-Finsterlohr demonstrates with about two hundred highly motivated citizens that their village has a promising future. Based on a collectively drafted village development concept, a variety of arrangements could be realized for a successful inner development. At this, the land consolidation has played an important role in planning, public participation and implementation of constructional and land reallocation measures. The most important success factors of the inner development include, among others: a collectively drafted village development concept as a common thread for all activities, motivated citizens, visionary role models, intensive citizen participation, transparent decision processes and the fast realization of flagship projects. A variety of objectives have been already achieved: building plots on the outskirts of the village were abandoned whereas new ones have been created in the village center. Five barns have been converted. The general store has been maintained. New community facilities have been created, their maintenance being guaranteed by civic interest groups. In addition, numerous ecological revaluations were realized inside and outside the village. In the mean time, because of these and numerous other positive changes, Finsterlohr has been awarded a prize in the competition ?Unser Dorf hat Zukunft? (?Our village has a future?) while still in the land consolidation phase.
