摘要

This article is aimed first at synthesizing the main scientific results obtained within the framework of a research project directed by the LCPC laboratory, and then at drawing up a list of the direct products generated from this work; these would include the various test methods already developed. The objectives, along with the approach adopted as part of this coordinated project associating many laboratories, are recalled first. A sample of significant results is also presented, as regards the understanding of the mechanisms (moisture transfers, carbonation, chloride ingress) as well as the tools for characterizing the microstructure and the parameters involved in the durability to reinforcement corrosion. The examples cited include the quantification of interactions between hydration and exogenous drying and their consequences, along with an evaluation of physico-chemical interactions between chloride ions and the cementitious matrix, the determinant influence of specimen preconditioning on test results, and the modeling of isothermal moisture transfers. This last example has served as a basis for developing not just (chloride) ion transfer models under unsaturated conditions, but also an indirect method for assessing permeability to liquid water. In addition, a number of leads are proposed herein on the one hand, for: pursuing research in the area of civil engineering material durability, and, on the otherhand, for emphasizing the work conducted to date, and transferring the results to practical applications.
