ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREWaste sulphuric acid resulting from the titanium dioxideproduction is concentrated by evaporation followed by an agingprocess during which the metals, except chromium and vanadium, areprecipitated. In order to sufficiently precipitate chromium andvanadium in a reasonably short time, the evaporated waste sul-phuric acid is mixed with aluminum having an active surface, whichmay be achieved by comminution e.g. cutting or pulverization notmore than 4 hours before adding it to the waste sulphuric acid.
