PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architecture and a method of copyright management and implementation which enable controlled rendering or regenerating of digital contents in arbitrary mode.;SOLUTION: A content is ciphered in accordance with a content key, and the content key is protected, in accordance with a public key at a license server. Rights data are taken out of a right template and associated with the content. A rule for changing rights taken out is also taken out of the rights template. The rights data are changed in accordance with the rules. The rights data and the protected content key are given to a licence server as a rights label for the signature of the licence server. The licence server verifies the validity of the rights label; and if the rights label is valid, the licence server produces digital signature, on the basis of a private key corresponding to a public key, and at least partially, on the basis of the rights data, and acquires the signed rights label and returns this.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
