Disclosed are an energy-efficient multicast method through a transmission power control and a communication system thereof. Provided is the multicast transmission method, comprising the steps of: calculating an electric power which maximizes multicast energy efficiency according to the number of user terminals of a multicast group; and setting the calculated electric power as a multicast transmission power and multicasting data into the multicast group.
