Since 2004, ONERA-GMT has been involved in the implementation of the PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) flow measurement technique in ONERA's CEPRAl 9 low-speed anechoic wind tunnel, to supplement normal acoustic measurements. This development is essential for performing aero-acoustic studies that need simultaneous aerodynamic and acoustic measurements, as required in the EXAVAC program carried out through ENSAM/ONERA cooperation, and in the European VITAL program.
