摘要

For the interest in using high energy proton elastic backscattering to detect very light elements such as deuterium in titanium, the proton elastic cross sections of titanium were measured at the laboratory angles of 151°(1.0-3.0 MeV) and 170°(2.5-3.1 MeV). These cross section data show clear resonant behavior when the proton energy is higher than 2.0 MeV. A proton backscattering measurement of TiD_x film was performed at 151° to serve as an application of the new cross sections. The simulation results of the backscattering spectra were satisfactory and accurate concentration results were obtained.
