摘要

During 2004—2005, 11 technical subcommittees were active, eight of which conducted collaborative testing of methods. As a result, two methods were recommended for approval by the Board of Directors for inclusion in Methods of Analysis. The recommendations came from the following subcommittees: 1) Spectro-photometric Analysis of Protein in Beer, chaired by Alicia Carruthers formerly of InBev; and 2) Methods for Measurement of Yeast Viability by Fluorescent Staining, chaired by Chris Powell of Lallemand, Inc. In addition, the subcommittee for Review of Can Methods, chaired by Scott Brendecke of Ball Corp., has reviewed one additional method (Cans-5A Rust Resistance in Tin-Free Steel Ends) and recommended that this method be archived. Special thanks are extended to the chairs and subcommittee members for their fruitful efforts.
