I am delighted to introduce this special issue of Insight, which contains four papers on condition monitoring (CM) technologies and one paper on non-destructive testing (NDT) technology that can potentially be applied for CM and for structural health monitoring (SHM).Two important upcoming events will facilitate further cross-collaboration of CM, NDT and SHM.I am pleased to invite the CM/NDT/SHM and asset management communities to the Eighteenth International Conference on Condition Monitoring and Asset Management (CM 2022), which is to be held from 7 to 9 June 2022 at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre, London Heathrow, UK.The conference is being organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) in partnership with the International Society for Condition Monitoring (ISCM). The combined efforts of BINDT and the ISCM will create a premier international event and build on the highly successful international condition monitoring conferences previously organised by BINDT in close cooperation with the ISCM.
