As a member of The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing you can apply for engineering registration with the Engineering Council.As a Licensed Member of the Engineering Council (EC), the Institute encourages suitably qualified members to register with the EC. The Institute can assess those members for admission to the EC register. To the right is a list of successful registrant applications submitted by BINDT to the EC during 2013. The box below it shows the registrations during the first four months of 2014.The register has three sections: Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and Engineering Technician (EngTech).Chartered Engineers (CEng) generally develop solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity and change and/or they may have technical accountability for complex systems with significant levels of risk.Incorporated Engineers (IEng) maintain and manage applications of current and developing technology, and may undertake engineering design, development, manufacture, construction and operation.Engineering Technicians (EngTech) apply proven techniques and procedures to the solution of practical engineering problems.
