[Background and Objectives] The close phylogenetic relationship between cynomolgus monkeys and humans has resulted in their widespread use of these animals as a preclinical model of the cardiovascular disease. However, standardized echocardiographic values for monkeys have not been established. The present study applies cardiac ultrasound imaging to determine normal reference values for cardiovascular structure, functions and velocity in monkey.
