IC270, a Phillips TDA8369, contains all chroma demodulation blocks necessary to recover the red, blue, and green signals required by the CRT. IC270 also coordinates the OSD (on screen display) and picture preference adjustments (brightness, color, tint, etc.). Before we proceed with the article, let's review chroma basics.
