Owners of consumer electronics service centers know better than most that to stay in business they constantly have to be prospecting for new clients through word of mouth, ads in the local newspapers, yellow pages advertising, direct mail, etc. Part of the reason they have to be constantly finding new clients is that some of their old clients move away, or die, or are wooed away by some other company that provides the same service. The same type of change is true of companies such as the companies that supply products for the consumer electronics service industry. All types of companies are formed and mature. Some of them thrive. Sometimes for a very long time. Sometimes, because of poor management, changing economic conditions, or other factors, companies fail very early.
