Spring is in the air, the clocks have moved forward, green shoots are everywhere (well, maybe not in business) and we've already had the first predictions of a cold, wet summer. So it's probably a good idea to leave the barbecue under wraps. Of course the other key sign that winter has passed is the awakening of industry for the season of conferences, seminars and exhibitions. We have already had a major industry event in the UK Concrete Show. A flick through this issue of Concrete will confirm that despite tough times for construction there are a healthy number of events in the coming weeks and months.
