Gavin Alexander of Concretespeakers has been listening to his music collection of vinyl and compact discs through his own concrete loudspeakers for over 30 years. His answer to the question posed in the headline is a very firm 'yes'. The reason is simple - provide the individual loudspeaker 'drive units' with a rigid housing and they can give the listener the highest quality sound together with no unwanted cabinet vibration. What is the best and most economical material for this purpose? Concrete.
