Ensuring that the concrete industry has the necessary numbers of skilled people entering the workforce will undoubtedly be helped by the Government's drive to revitalise apprenticeships. Concrete has asked each of the five major cement and concrete suppliers to present their approach in reaching out to young people and attracting them to take up careers in the industry. While not exhaustive, they do give a flavour of the efforts in place to attract the next generation. The responses are presented below and in the interest of fairness the replies are given in alphabetical order only.
