摘要

Sulphur is categorized as one of the essential nutrients for plant growth. Although, it is important in increasing the availability of certain nutrients and for its effect on soil properties, the uses has not been adopted by Egyptian farmers on large scale. Six field experiments were conducted over three successive seasons 1997/98, 98/99 and 99/2000, i.e.two field experiments per season aiming at evaluating the effect of application of chemical fertilizers either sole or combined with sulphur, on growth, yield and yield components as well as on seed quality of wheat and faba bean. Results clearly indicate the beneficial effect of application of sulphur combined with chemical fertilizers on most studied traits under investigation.
