The goals of our study were to determine the effect of heavy infestation of Heamonchus contortus on some hematologi-cal, biochemical and hormonal parameters, as well as to clarify the use of Rintal 2.5% , and Nigella saliva powder as an efficient anti-nematodes drug. This experimental approach included measurement of hemogram, LDH, liver and kindney functions, measurement of thyroxin and cortisol hormone. Our results confirmed previous results that Rinital reduced egg count after 10 days of infection and absolutely disappeared after 21 days, post treatment. It may be added that Nigella saliva powder may reduce egg count after 21 days but not completely eliminate eggs. It is interesting to speculate that infestation with the gastrointestinal nematodes H-contortus in sheep leads to a pronounced ill-effect which may adversely affect general animal health. Fortunately the use of antithelmentic drugs, Rinital, and Nigella sativa powder can improve the harmful effect of Heamonchus controtus in infested sheep.
