摘要

An understanding of the in-situ evolution Municipal Solid waste incineration (MSWI) bottom ash used in road construction requires studying the sensitivity of this material to environmental factors. Such factors include the influence of frost, a subject that have received little attention heretofore never been examined with respect to mechanical properties, but that have never been examined with respect to environmental properties. Tests performed in a climate chamber, within the scope of the "Alt-Mat" European program, have applied hydric and thermal cycles in order to observe the swelling and leaching reactions. The liquid/solid derived during this study correspond to several decades' worth of rainfall infiltration under actual use conditions. MSWI botton ash does not appear to be machanically frost-susceptible. Depending on the elements, frost incites an increase in leaching in terms of both magnitude and duration, as some elements display a leaching behaviour that varies with implementation mode. Lastly, these tests have shown how the underlying soil is able to capture some of the released elements.
