Remote sensing provides a scope for mapping, monitoring and quantifying natural resources. The recent advancements in computer technology have provided the means to process huge and varied data to study interactions of various resources. The integration of GIS and remote sensing supports resource management and sustainble development to a very large extent. This paper details the application of RS/GIS technology for the mapping of the ecosystem of north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, India.
